Celebration of 70th Independence Day at Consulate

70th Independence Day of India was celebrated at the Consulate General of India, Atlanta on 15 August 2016. The ceremony began with flag hoisting by Consul General Shri Nagesh Singh followed by recital of National Anthem and reading out of President’s message to the nation on the eve of 70th Independence Day. This was followed by screening of a film showcasing 70 welfare schemes and initiatives launched by Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in last two years.
