‘Panch Pran’ Pledge – Promise to commit to nation building while holding maati/diya in hand

Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, recently announced the 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign during his Mann Ki Baat broadcast. This campaign aims to honour the brave freedom fighters and bravehearts who sacrificed their lives for the country.

Meri Maati Mera Desh" campaign is envisaged from 9th August 2023 as a culminating event of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. It is a tribute to the 'Veers' and ‘Veeranganas’ who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country.

People are encourage to either individually or collectively take a selfie while taking the pledge with soil or mitti ka diya in the hand and upload it to the dedicated website https://yuva.gov.in.
